We took Sydney to the Dr.'s office this morning. She did good and was awake the whole time. She has gained 2 oz., which is a sign of good health and that her bilyrubin (sp?) levels are leveling out. It wore her out, though and she slept the whole way home.
She is very active (another good sign), unfortunately a lot of it is at night time. But we are glad she is moving and growing.
I'm still trying how to change her diaper without her dirtying the new one before I get it on her!!! It's making for a lot of extra diapers. Oh well, I guess my timing is just off.

As a mom with way too much diaper experience, can I give you a diaper changing tip? Take the front of the dirty diaper and wipe as much off of her as you can (with the back of the diaper still underneath her) then lay the front of the diaper against the back (as if it was an unopened diaper) so that the dirty diaper is laying under Sydney but the front of the diaper should be relatively clean. Then you can clean her with baby wipes before removing the dirty diaper out from under her. Unless it's a REALLY messy diaper this usually helps contain most of the mess and keep the new diaper from getting dirty. Hope this helps:)
